Adapting to Climate Change

The Lanarc team developed the Climate Change Adaptation on the BC Coast Video and Workshop Series, which focuses on providing practical and accessible approaches to climate change adaptation in community development.

The modular video tutorial series is targeted to provincial and local government, the private sector, non-government organizations (NGOs), First Nations, and the general public. The series focuses on our relationship with water with key themes including Coastal Flood Management (adapting to sea level rise), Rainwater Management (adapting to changing percipitation), and Water Conservation (adapting to seasonal drought).

The video series was supported by five interactive workshops running parallel with the video production to refine the content. Lanarc worked closely with 138 key stakeholders across the province collecting feedback and video statements on key challenges and successes. A brochure was also produced to accompany the video series, which cross-references the CCIAD Adaptation Platform tools and publications.
