Creekway Park

Vancouver Parks Board

As part of the Hastings Park Master Plan, the City of Vancouver made a commitment to pursue daylighting a covered stream through Creekway Park. The construction of this watercourse and wetland area provides a functional amenity of ecological value and it connects the sanctuary in Hastings Park with Burrard Inlet.

Providing safe pedestrian and bicycle connections to New Brighton Park and the waterfront were central to this project and to the overall pedestrian network of Hastings Park. Greenways through Creekway Park provide pedestrian and cycling connections to New Brighton Park, Hastings Park, portside to the west and bridgeway to the east.

Lanarc staff were the prime consultants for the overall project design and we worked closely with the City, consulting team, community, and contractors to develop and implement the design. The park opened is now a beautiful, functional piece of Vancouver’s green network.
